  • About

The annual Black Santa Sit-out for charities, founded by Dean Sammy Crooks in 1976, takes place on the steps of St Anne's Cathedral the week before Christmas every year. Dean Stephen Forde completed his first Black Santa sit-out on Christmas Eve 2018, having started on December 17.  Funds raised by the annual Sit-out are distributed to local charities, with a small portion going to overseas charities, at the Good Samaritans Service which is normally held on the first Sunday in February.  However, fundraising for the Black Santa Appeal continues all year round and your donation will be very welcome and will help us to help others in our community.

Please note the total shown here is online donations only and does not include cash or postal donations.

We thank you for your support.
