  • About

The annual Black Santa Sit-out for charities, founded by Dean Sammy Crooks in 1976, takes place on the steps of St Anne's Cathedral the week before Christmas every year. Dean Stephen Forde will begin his second Black Santa Sit-out on Monday December 16 2019, and will be on the steps each day until Christmas Eve (with the exception of Sunday December 22).  Funds raised by the annual Sit-out are distributed to local charities, with a small portion going to overseas charities, at the Good Samaritans Service which is normally held on the first Sunday in February.  However, fundraising for the Black Santa Appeal continues all year round and your donation will be very welcome and will help us to help others in our community.

Please note the total shown here is online donations only and does not include cash or postal donations.

We thank you for your support.
